     Pumpkin Spice Sheet Cake with Cream Cheese Frostin

2 cups sugar
1 (16 ounce) can pumpkin
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
4 eggs
2 cups flour
1 Tablespoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package cream cheese (8 ounces)
1/4 cup butter,softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 Tablespoon milk (plus a teaspoon or two, depending upon desired consistency)

Combine sugar, pumpkin, oil, applesauce, and eggs in large bowl, mix well. Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice and salt, mix until well blended. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch cake pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
for the frosting- Combine cream cheese, butter, vanilla, powdered sugar, and milk and mix well on low speed with an electric mixer. Spread over cooled cake. Garnish with crushed pecans if desired.
