      RED VELVET CHRISTMAS CAKE

Ingredients
1 pkg. white cake mix
1 Tbs. red food coloring
2 squares Baker’s Unsweetened Baking Chocolate, melted
1 pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted
1 pkg. (16 oz.) powdered sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
 

Instructions
Prepare and bake mix as directed on package for 2 (9-inch) round cake layers, adding chocolate and food coloring with water, eggs and oil; cool completely. Beat cream cheese and butter with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Gradually add sugar, beating well after each addition. Stir in pecans (optional). Fill and frost cake layers. Makes 12 servings.
