     Flashing Blue Light Chili

Ingredients
1 can beef broth - 1 can chicken broth
4-6 oz tomato sauce
2 chicken bouillon cubes
2 Tbsp New Mexico Red Chile Powder
2 jalapenos, finely diced
1 small red onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 Tbsp garlic powder - 1 Tbsp onion powder
3-5 Tbsp cornstarch - Water (for a slurry)
 
3 Tbsp California Red Chile Powder
2 Tbsp of your favorite chile store bought chile powder
3 Tbsp mole spice
2 Tbsp Ancho Chile Powder
2 Tbsp Chipoltle Chile Powder
1 can chili beans
1 can light red kideny beans
1 lb hamburger, browned
3/4 cup brown sugar - more to taste

Instructions
Bring chicken broth, beef broth, bouiloon cubes, tomato sauce and 2 Tbsp New Mexico chile powder to a boil, reduce heat, and set to simmer. In a separate pan, saute the chopped jalapeno, onion and garlic until translucent. Add in meat, brown. Set aside.
To simmering sauce, add meat mixture plus all other spices. Stir and simmer for 90 minutes. After 90 minutes, add beans and brown sugar. Simmer for an additional 90 minutes.
At the end of 3 hours, mix cornstarch and water together to form a slurry; add to chili and continue to simmer for another 30 minutes. Taste as you go; add spices or more sugar to cut the heat if you'd like.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with sour cream, shredded cheese and cornbread.
