Cook sweet potatoes in boiling water for 45 minutes until tender. Cool, peel and mash. Or microwave them 8 minutes each, cool, peel and mash.
Combine mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, eggs, vanilla, milk, and 1/2 Cup butter. Beat at with electric mixer at medium speed until smooth. Spoon into a lightly greased 8 X 12 baking dish.
Combine brown sugar, pecans, flour and 2 Tbl. butter. Sprinkle mixture over casserole. Bake at 350 deg. for 30 minutes.
