     Chocolate Covered Cherryettes

Ingredients
1 cup butter
3/4 cup conf sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond extract
2 1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup well drained chopped maraschino cherries
 

Instructions
Mix butter, sugar, vanilla, salt and almond extract. Blend in flour, nuts, cherries. Shape into small balls and bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes. When cooled, dip in melted chocolate.
Serving Suggestions
The original recipe calls for melted chocolate chips, mixed with 3 Tbsp of shortening, 1/2 cup milk, blended with 3 cups of conf sugar in dble boiler
