     SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE

1/2 C. OLEO (AT ROOM TEMP.)
3/4 C. SUGAR
2 LG. EGGS
1 TSP. VANILLA
1 C. SOUR CREAM
1 C. BROWN SUGAR
2 C. FLOUR
1 1/2 TSP BAKING POWDER
1 TSP. BAKING SODA
 
1/4 TSP. SALT
TOPPING-
1/4 C. BROWN SUGAR
1 TB. FLOUR
1 TSP. CINNAMON
1/2 C. WALNUTS
1 TB. OLEO, MELTED

Instructions
PREHEAT OVEN TO 350F. CREAM OLEO & SUGAR UNTIL SMOOTH, ADD EGGS, ONE AT A TIME, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH, ADD VANILLA, STIR IN SOUR CREAM. ADD REST OF INGREDIENTS, SCRAPE 1/2 OF BATTER INTO A GREASED 8 IN. SQUARE PAN & LEVEL. IN A SEPARATE BOWL, COMBINE ALL TOPPING INGREDIENTS. SPRINKLE 1/2 OF TOPPING OVER CAKE & COVER WITH REMAINING CAKE BATTER. FINISH WITH REST OF TOPPING. BAKE 35-40 MIN. OR USE TOOTHPICK TEST.
