     Kourabiedes (greek biscuits)

420g butter 2.5tbs icing sugar 600g plain flour 1tbs baking powder 5 generous tbs ilma zahar 2tsp vanilla essence 300g nibbled almonds Plenty icing sugar for coating
Miz flour with butter and baking powder with hands till it resembles breadcrumbs Add icing sugar (2.5tbs) Add nibbled almonds and mix in with a spoon Add vanilla and ilma zahar and mix all till a soft dough is formed Form into small balls and flatten a bit pressing a small thumb print in the middle Bake in a hot 185deg oven for 25 mins Bring out of the oven and mix whilst still hot with sifted icing sugar in a bowl Put in another comtainer and sift more icing sugar on top Biscuits have to be completely white
