     Spaghetti sauce

Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef or italian sausage
1 onion chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
8 oz fresh sliced mushrooms
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
15 oz can diced tomatoes with onion and garlic
6 oz can italian style tomato paste
2 tsp. dried oregano
2 tsp. dried basil
 
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Instructions
Combine ground beef, onion, garlic, mushrooms and green pepper in a large saucepan. Cook and stir until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. Drain grease.
Stir diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste into the pan. Season with oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer spaghetti sauce for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
