     JANE’S DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE CAKE

Ingredients
Cream together-
2 c. sugar
˝ c. shortening
Add and mix well-
2 eggs
Mix together and add-
˝ c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
Sift together and add slowly-
 
2 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
˝ tsp. salt
Combine and add slowly-
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
Instructions
Mix well. Pour into Pam sprayed 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 30 minutes.
Frosting- CHOCOLATE CHIP AND PECAN TOPPING Combine in a sauce pan- 3 Tbs. margarine ľ c. brown sugar and ˝ c. evaporated milk Bring to a boil either on the stove or in the microwave. Remove from heat and add- 1 tsp. vanilla ˝ c. chopped pecans Pour the hot sauce over the hot cake. Sprinkle with milk chocolate chips over the top.
