Thoroughly wash chicken and pat dry. Sprinkle cavity with salt, pepper and 1/2 tsp parsley flakes. Place in slow cooker, breast side up.

Dot with Butter or brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with remaining parsley flakes. Add water around the chicken.
|
|
|
Cover and cook on high 1 hour. Turns to low and cook 8-10 hours.

|
Tips-
1. Sprinkle with basil or tarragon in Step 4, if you wish.
2. to make it a more complete meal, put carrots, onions and celery in the bottom of the slow cooker.
