     CONGA BARS

Ingredients
2 1/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter or margarine, at room temp.
1 box (16 oz.) light-brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chocolate chips
1/4 c. coarsely chopped nuts, optional
 
Glaze-
1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 1/2 to 3 tsp. milk

Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Pam spray a 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt onto sheet of waxed paper. Beat together margarine and brown sugar in a large bowl until well blended. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. On low speed, gradually beat in the flour mixture until blended. Beat in the vanilla. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Meanwhile, prepare glaze. Whisk together powdered sugar and enough milk in a small bowl until smooth and good drizzling consistency.
Cover; set aside. When cookie is complete cooled, drizzle with glaze. Let stand until glaze hardens.
