     Classic French Bread

Ingredients
dough
1 cup warm water
1 pkg yeast
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
2 cup bread flour
3/4 cup flour

Instructions
mix--water, yeast, and sugar--let stand 5 minutes until foamy. Add salt and vinegar. add 1 1/2 cup bread flour, mix for 4 minutes. Stirin remaining flour and knead until dough loses it stickiness.
Cover and let rise in warm place -- form into 1 loaf, 2 small loaves, or bread sticks. Let rise until double Brush with melted butter
Bake 400-425 degrees 18 minutes loaves 12-14 for bread sticks If you tap on the bread it should have a hollow sound-it should be done.
