3 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 pinch of salt
5 tbs vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp white vinegar
1 cup water
Dairy free chocolate frosting-
200 ml water (0,8 cup)
1 tbs cornstarch (20 g)
250 g dark chocolate (dairy free), coarsely chopped (9 oz)
Preheat oven to 350º F (180º C). Put flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, and cocoa together into a 8 x 11 inch baking pan.
Make three wells. Pour oil into one well, vinegar into second, and vanilla into third well.
Pour cold water over all, and stir well with fork.
Bake at 350°F. oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until it springs back when touched lightly. Let cool
To prepare the chocolate frosting, in a small bowl, mix water and cornstarch, until dissolved
In a medium saucepan, heat over low fire. Add chopped chocolate, and stir constantly until smooth
Pour over cold chocolate cake, and chill until chocolate frosting is set
