     Bread- Pear

Ingredients
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. brown suar
3/4 c. sour cream
1/4 c. melted butter
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
 
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. fresh pears, diced (about 1 pear)
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions
Mix first set of ingredients and stir until well blended.
Stir dry ingredients (second set) into sour cream mixture and blend until moistened.
Fold pears and lemon rind into mix (and walnuts, if desired).
Turn mixture into greased loaf pan and let stand 20 minutes. Bake at 350 for 1 - 1 1/4 hours. Remove and cool on rack.
