     Fudge Pudding Cake

Ingredients
1-1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1-oz. square unsweetened chocolate
2 Tablespoons butter
3/4 cup sour milk (2-1/4 teaspoons vinegar then add regular milk to make 3/4 cup)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, optional
 
Topping-
3/4 cup brown sugar
1-1/2 cups boiling water
2-1 oz. squares unsweetened chocolate

Instructions
Sift flour, granulated sugar, baking soda and salt together. Melt 1 square chocolate with butter. Stir in sour milk and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients; stir until blended. Mix in walnuts if desired. Turn into a greased 8x8x2-inch baking pan.
Sprinkle brown sugar over top. Combine boiling water and 2 squares chocolate (can heat together in microwave); stir until chocolate melts. Pour evenly over sugar topping. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) 40-45 minutes or until cake is done. Serve warm.
Serving Suggestions
This is a family favorite and is delicious right out of the oven or topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy!
