     Black Bean Veggie Burger

Ingredients
1 can black beans drained and rinsed
1/2 green pepper in 2 inch pcs
1/2 onion cut in wedges
3-5 cloves garlic peeled
1 egg
1 T chili powder
1 T cummin
1 tsp thai chili sauce or hot sauce
1/2 c bread crumbs
 

Instructions
If grilling preheat to high and use a greased sheet of tinfoil to cook the burgers on or cook in a 375 degree oven.
Mash beans with a fork until thick and pasty. In food processor finely chop veggies then stir in beans. In a small bowl mix egg and spices together. Stir into bean mixture then add bread crumbs. Divide into 4 patties.
If grilling place patties on foil and grill about 8 min per side. If baking place on foil lined baking sheet and bake about 10 min on each side.
First time I made these did not pay attention to the instructions and my beans were over processed. Still tasted ok but a little bit messy. They are really good when done correctly.
