Combine shortening, sugars, eggs , milk and vanilla. Beat until light
and fluffy. Mix in soda and cream of tarter. Stir in flour, oatmeal,
raisins, and nuts. Drop on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 350, 10-15
minutes.
