     Christmas Eve Beef Tenderloin

Ingredients
2/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup
4 Tb vegetable oil
4 Tb soy sauce
2 Tb Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic salt
 
beef tenderloin, trimmed and tied (1/2 pound per person)
horseradish sauce

Instructions
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Put tenderloin in plastic container, pour marinade over meat, cover, and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Heat oven to 475°. Put meat in a shallow roaster pan with no rack. Pour marinade over meat. Cook 50 - 60 minutes for medium (for 6-7 lbs; if 3-4 lbs, cook 30-35 minutes). Let stand 15 minutes before slicing.
Serve with reserved marinade from roasting pan and horseradish sauce.
