     Easy Apple Turnovers

Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None
Servings   8
Preptime   30 Min

Ingredients
2 (8 ounce) cans crescent rolls
2 sticks butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 Granny Smith apples
1 cup lemon-lime soda (7up, Sprite, etc)

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9x13 baking dish. Peel & core the apples cut each into 4 wedges. Open the can of crescent rolls and carefully separate each triangle. Roll each apple wedge in one crescent triangle and place into baking dish. In a sauce pan over low heat, melt the 2 sticks of butter. Add the sugar, vanilla & cinnamon & cook until thickened. Pour over crescent rolls. Pour the soda along the edges but not on top of the rolls. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool down a minute or two but serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
