Ingredients
About 10-12 slices of bread
200g mixed fruit (sultanas, raisins, currants, candied peel)
5 tbspoon cocoa
4-6 tbspoon demerara sugar, or if you want it sweeter you can add more
1 egg
2 full tblspoons butter
100g roasted cashew nuts, chopped
Pieces of candied peel of oranges and mandarin (l used homemade, make it myself)
1 shot whiskey
1 shot Anizette Liqueur
1/2 cup milk
1/3 of a pkt of 250g pitted dates (cut into pieces)
Instructions
Put the bread in a deep pan, add water and
squeeze the bread in water to soften. Then
drain the bread through a sieve. Place the
crumble bread in a large bowl, pour the milk
and add all the ingredients to the bread and
milk. Stir mixture till all the ingredients are
combined. Grease a baking dish and pour mixture
into it. Bake on 240c for 45 minutes, till the
stick (test it with a small kebab wooden stick)
will come out clean. You can add more
ingredients of your own taste --) Taste
delicious!!
