     Tandoori Chicken

Ingredients
Marinade:
8 oz. plain yogurt
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. grated gingerroot or 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. ground coriander
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. ground turmeric
1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
1 clove, garlic
 
4 whole boneless skinless chicken breasts, halved lengthwise

Instructions
Rinse chicken and pat dry. Place chicken in a deep plastic bag and that into a bowl. Seal bag and coat chicken well. Marinate in refrigerator 6 to 24 hours turning occasionally.
Chill reserved marinade while grilling chicken. **Note from mother** I don't like to use marinade for basting unless boiling it well first. Cook on indirect heat about 20 minutes brushing with marinade the last 10 minutes.
