Cut rhubarb into 1 inch pieces. Beat egg yolks slightly and pour over rhubarb. Add sugar and tapioca and mix well. Pile into the unbaked shell. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 30-40 minutes longer.
Make merange with egg whites and 4 tbl sugar. Heat until stiff. Pile on edge of pie and return to 350 degree oven and brown 8-10 minutes.
