     Sausage Rolls

Ingredients
150g mince - beef
1 shallot finely chopped
½ carrot, grated
1 tablespoon fresh herbs or ½ tsp dried herbs/spices
¼ cup dried breadcrumbs (21g carb) or ½ cup fresh breadcrumbs (use 1 slice bread = 15g carb)
1 egg beaten
2 - 4 tablespoons sauce (Thai, sate, curry, tomato, BBQ) or more (check carb content on jars)
1 sheet puff pastry (56g carb)
Total carbs = with dried breadcrumbs = 77g carb then add on sauce, divide by 4 for carbs per sausage
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 220’C Baking paper on tray Place meat, egg, herbs, sauce and crumbs into metal mixing bowl
Mix well with fork/hand Divide into 4 portions
Place onto cut pastry shape Brush edge with milk – seal/shape
Place onto tray, cut slits into pastry. Brush with milk, sprinkle with sesame seeds(optional) Bake for 20-25 mins.
Serving Suggestions
Serve up with a salad of choice for a nice hearty meal
