Ingredients
2 1/4 C drained chickpeas,soaked and drained
1/4 C chopped cilantro
1 garlic clove,chopped
1 small chili,finely diced
grate 1 small onion
1 /2 tsp cumin
1 1/2 tsp coriander
3/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 C parsley
 
1 egg
1 lemon, juiced
kosher salt
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/3 C flour
vegetable oil

Instructions
In food processer mix,chickpeas,cilantro,garlic, onion,chili,cumin,coriander,pepper,parsley,egg and lemon juice until mixed but not pureed..add baking powder and flour and pulse...add extra flour if mixture is sticky...Refrigerate at least a hour or overnight...Heat canola oil till hot and roll mix into balls and flatten into cylander shape...Fry 4 minutes on each side, drain...serve with warm pita bread, yogurt sauce, lettuce and tomato
Yogurt/tahini sauce...Mix 3/4 C plain greek yogurt, 1/4 C Tahini, salt,pepper, 1 minced garlic clove and juice of 1 small lemon.
