     Parmesan Chicken

Ingredients
8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 large onion, cut into small wedges
1 T. olive oil
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 jar (26 oz) of your favorite pasta sauce
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/4 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1 bay leaf
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
 
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
hot cooked spaghetti

Instructions
Place mushrooms and onion in slow cooker.
Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Lightly brown chicken on both sides. Place chicken in slow cooker; pour pasta sauce over chicken and add herbs. Cover; cook on LOW 6 to 7 hrs or on HIGH 3 hrs. Remove and discard the bay leaf.
Sprinkle chicken with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Cook, uncovered, on LOW for 15 to 30 minutes or until the cheeses are melted. Serve over hot spaghetti.
