Method- Pastry
Mix flour and butter in a bowl till it looks
like bread crumbs, add sugar and the grated
rind. Whisk eggs and add it to the mixture. Add
the vanilla essence and complete stirring, some
times you have to mix a little milk to form a
stiff paste. Turn dough on to a floured board
and leave it for half hour aside. Grease a
baking dish. Roll out dough on a floured
surface. Spread the mincemeat on the pastry,
the candied tangerine peel and the chopped
walnuts. Roll the pastry with the filling
inside like a swiss roll, leave 1 inch from the
border before you finish. Brush the border with
milk to stick together. Now make a ring and
join the ends together. Place it on the greased
baking dish. With a knife make slits as you are
going to cut it, but not till the end. Brush
all the ring with milk. Bake on 180c for 30
minutes or till golden brown. Leave to cool and
decorate with icing sugar. Enjoy, it's
