     Snappy Beans

Ingredients
4 lbs whole green beans
dill seed
mustard seed
instant minced garlic
crushed red pepper
5 cups white vinegar
5 cupswater
1/2 cup pickling salt
 

Instructions
Wash and cut beans to desired length. Blanch in big pot for 4 minutes. Drain and pack in jars. Into each jar place 1/2 tsp each of dill and mustard seed and 1/ tsp each red pepper and garlic. Combine water, vinegar and salt, bring to boil. Pour over beans in jars, place lids on jars. Place jars on cookie sheet in oven at 300 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove, let cool. Jars should seal, makes 7 to 8 pints.
