1 cup butter softened
2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup key lime juice
5 large eggs
3 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
green food coloring
glaze ................
2 cups icing sugar
3-4 tablespoon key lime juice

preheat over to 350 degrees place rack on lowest position in oven grease and flour a bundt pan or 2 loaf pans in a small bowl combine buttermilk and lime juice set aside cream butter and sugar until fluffy. add in eggs one at a time beating well to fully combine . combine flour, salt, baking soda and powder in separate bowl stir to combine . add flour and buttermilk mixture to butter mixture alternating, starting and ending with flour. do not overmix add in food coloring stir just to combine spoon batter into prepared pan bake for 50-60 mins testing with a toothpick for denseness
remove from oven and let rest in pan 15 mins before inverting onto cooling rack to cool completely prepare glaze by combining powdered sugar and lime juice to a thick pouring consistency drizzle over cooled cske let cake set for 30 mins before serving
