1 bottle (750 ml) full bodied red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon)
Juice of 1 lemon
4 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
Sugar (optional_
Instructions
In a large pot, over medium, low heat, combine wine, 1 cup of water, lemon juice, cloves and cinnamon stick. Bring to a simmer, do not let mixture boil. Simmer until mixtures blend, about 10 minutes.
Remove cloves and cinnamon stick. Pour wine into warmed cups. Sweeten with sugar if desired.
