     Celery and Water Chestnut Casserole

Ingredients
4 c celery in 1 in slices
15 oz can water chestnuts
1 can cream of chicken soup
.25 c pimento (red) optional
.25 c soft bread crumbs
.25 slivered almonds
2 T butter
 

Instructions
Cook celery in small amount of water until crisp and tender- about 8 min. Drain. Mix celery with water chestnuts, soup, and pimento. Pour into buttered casserole. Toss crumbs, almonds, and butter together and sprinkle over casserole. Bake at 350 for 35 min, or until lightly browned and hot.
