Preheat oven to 350 degrees Farenheight.
Grease 9-by-13-inch cake pan (including sides)
with vegetable shortening; set aside.
In medium bowl, combine butter and sugar until
smooth; beat in eggs and chocolate syrup. Sift
flour and mix all ingredients. Pour batter evenly
into greased cake pan.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, until toothpick inserted
into brownies comes out clean. Be careful not to
overcook, or brownies will be dry. Remove from
oven and let stand to cool.
When completely cool, work knife around the edges
of the pan and cut brownies into squares.
