Melt butter in casserole dish. In a separate
bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda,
sugar, and milk. Mix batter well until most of
the lumps are removed. Pour batter over the
butter, but do not stir. Add desired fruit.
Use either sweetened fresh fruit or a can of
fruit or frozen fruit that is sweetened and
thawed. Again, add fruit to the top of the
batter and do not stir. Bake at 400 degrees
for 10 minutes or longer until done. Sprinkle
sugar over top as soon as the cobbler is
removed from the oven. Serve warm with a dip
of ice cream or cold.
