     Chef Megan's Carmel Corn

Ingredients
1/2 cup unpopped corn
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
 

Instructions
Pop popcorn in a pan (Meghan uses bacon grease). Put in a large grocery bag.
In a bowl, microwave remaining ingredients on high for 4 1/2 minutes. Remove immediately and add- 1/2 tsp. baking soda Whisk until thoroughly combined. Pour over popcorn. Fold bag down and microwave 90 seconds. Remove and shake vigorously. Repeat for 60 seconds, 40, and 30. Pour onto parchment paper, spread out, and cool.
Drizzle with melted chocolate if you want! Add nuts into the the bag with popcorn at the beginning if you want.
