     Refrigerator bread and butter pickles

12-15 med. size pickling cucumbers
2 small white onions
4 c white vinegar
4 c white sugar
1/2 c pickling salt
2 t mustard seed
2 t celery seed
1 1/2 t tumeric
1t dill seed

Mix ingredients in a bowl and let sit while you prepare the cucumbers. Wash and thinly slice cucumbers. Layer cucumbers and onions alternating layers in a Tupperware container. Pour liquid over cucumbers and let sit for 10-15 min. Gently push cucumbers down into the liquid, and top with lid. Place cucumbers in the fridge for 24 hours. Put cucumbers into prepared jars and place in the refrigerator. Pickles have a shelf life of 3-4 weeks.
