Mash together the codfish, grated onion, beaten egg and boiled
potato. Salt and pepper to taste. Add matzo meal if needed for
mixture to hold together. Let cool in fridge for at least 15
minutes.
Form small patties and coat in matzo meal or cracker crumbs.
Fry in shallow amount of oil until golden on both sides.
Serve warm or at room temperature with saltines and mustard.
