1 lb. (16 oz.) fresh or frozen mixed berries, thawed
1/4 C. Chocolate Chips
2/3 C. Sugar
1 Tbsp. Cornstarch
Dash of Salt
1 Tbsp. Butter
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. To make crumble
topping, mix together flour, brown sugar,
rolled oats, and cinnamon in a large bowl. If
desired, transfer to a food processor to cut in
butter, using on/off turns until mixture
resembles coarse meal. Or cut in butter with a
pastry cutter or two forks.
To make filling, mix berries and chocolate
chips with sugar, cornstarch and salt. Spoon
into 9x9 inch glass baking dish. Top berries
with crumble topping, covering berries. Bake
cobbler 55 minutes, or until crumble topping is
golden brown and filling is bubbling, covering
loosely with sheet of foil if top browns too
quickly. Refrigerate any leftovers.
To make on the grill, prepare cobbler as above,
but in a cast iron skillet. Cover with aluminum
foil. Cook, on a covered grill, for approximately
1 hour.
