Dissolve yeast in warm water. Scald milk, add
shortening, sugar, eggs, potatoes, salt and
seasonings. Add yeast. Add flour to make soft
dough let raise once- to double in size. Cut out,
fry, dip in glaze, or sprinkle with sugar.
Glaze-
Boil to a boil sugar and milk. Simmer and add
vanilla to taste.
