Ingredients
3/4 c chopped onion
1/2 c chopped celery
1/4 c chopped bell pepper
1 tsp Bottled fresh garlic
2 T butter
2 cups chopped ham
1 can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano
1 can beef broth
1 c white rice
 
1 c water
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 1/4 lbs fresh shrimp peeled
1 T chopped fresh parsley

Instructions
in 4 quart dutch oven cook onion, celery, bell pepper and garlic in butter until tender. Stir in ham, undrained tomatoes, broth, rice, water, chili powdered black pepper. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Stir in shrimp and parsley. Return to a simmer, cook uncovered for 7 to 10 minutes or until shrimp are opaque and rice is tender, stirring occasionally.
