2 1/4 cups sifted flour
|

1 1/2 cups sugar
|

3 tsp. baking powder
|
|
1 tsp. salt
|

3/4 cup oil
|

2 eggs, separated, unbeaten

3/4 cup cold water
|

2 tsp. vanilla
|
|
1 tsp. lemon juice
|

Instructions |
|
|
Preheat oven to 325
1. combine everything except whites in large bowl
and beat until smooth
|
|
|
2. beat whites until stiff, fold into the other
ingredients
|
|
|
3. pour into ungreased pan and bake for 50-55
minutes and cool for 15 minutes
4. Turn onto flat plate and loosen with knife and
turn out of pan
|
