1 (24ounce) jar Ragu sauce (I use Parmesan or garlic and herb
1 teaspoon dried italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon Mrs Dash table blend
4 Italian sub rolls (large ones)
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1/2 pound provolone or mozzarella cheese, sliced
optional lettuce
tomato , sliced
hots spread
banana peppers
8oz package of mozzarella cheese, shredded
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt
butter. Add onions, green peppers. Saute until
veggies begin to soften, 3 to 4 minutes.
Push veggies to one side of skillet, add sliced
steak to skillet, saute until no longer pink. 2
to 3 mins.
In a saucepan, heat Ragu sauce, Italian seasoning,
cayenne pepper, and Mrs. Dash. Stir and heat over
medium heat.
Preheat broiler.
Slice Sub rolls lengthwise, place opened on
baking sheet. Toast on low in broiler 30 to 60
seconds.Remove from broiler, brush toasted
sides lightly with Olive Oil.Place sliced
cheese and tomato slices inside each side of
sub roll
Add shredded cheese into meat, onion and pepper
mix, stir until cheese begins to melt.
If desired spread HOTS on inside of sub
rolls,spoon ragu sauce on bottom, Spoon meat,
onion, pepper and cheese mixture into sub rolls
Top with shredded lettuce,and banana peppers if
desired. Enjoy! messy but delicious
