Butter 2 qt baking dish.
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Mash yams in large bowl and add brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, melted butter.
Mix well.
Place mixture in baking dish.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Top with marshmallows.
Bake for 10 minutes until marshmallows are lightly browned.
