     Lima Bean Ham Chowder

Ingredients
1-1/2 c lima beans
4 c water
Meaty ham hock
1 c chopped onion
1/2 c chopped celery
1 can cream style corn
1 pint half and half
1 pint milk
 
1-1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp butter

Instructions
Soak beans overnight in 4 c water. Add the smoked ham hock and simmer for 1-1/2 hours. Remove the bone and gristle.
Add 1 c. chopped onion, chopped celery until tender.
Add the cream style corn , half and half and milk. Reheat and add the salt and butter.
