     Bourbon Chicken - crock pot

Ingredients
3 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
3 tbs corn starch
1 clove garlic
Sauce-
1/2 tsp grated ginger
4 cloves minced garlic
1/2 tsp chili flakes
1/3 cup apple juice
2 tbs honey
 
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
3 tbs cider vinegar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup bourbon
1/4 cup soy sauce

Instructions
Mix all sauce ingredients together in a small bowl.
Place chicken in crockpot and pour sauce over top. Cover and cook on low 6-7 hours or on high for 3hrs.
Remove chicken and chop into bite size pieces. Strain liquid and place over medium heat in a small pot. Combine 3 tbs water and 3 tbs cornstarch. Whisk into the sauce along with 1 clove of garlic. Stir until thickened.
Pour sauce over chicken and stir. Serve over rice
