     Grandma's Chilli

Ingredients
1/2 lb. chopped bacon - fried (not all the fat out)
1 lb. ground beef, fry in drippings of bacon
1 medium onion
8 oz bottle of ketchup
1 and 1/2 T. sugar
1 and 1/2 t. chilli powder
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup water
2 cans kidney beans
 
sour cream for serving
grated cheese for serving

Instructions
Chop bacon into small pieces and fry most of the fat out. Add hamburger and brown in fat of bacon. Add onion and the remaining ingredients and cook slowly for 45 minutes to an hour.
If you want to make the healthier version, don't do the bacon and use ground turkey instead of ground beef!!!
