Heat margarine in a square pan (9 by 9 by 2 in.) in the oven until melted; sprinkle with brown sugar. Arrange apples in the pan. Spread batter over apples. Sprinkle with streusel. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 50 minutes. Immediately invert pan on heatproof serving plate. Let pan remain a minute so butterscotch can drizzle over coffeecake.
