     Ginger Ale

Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup fresh ginger (peeled and sliced)
1 cup water
4 cups carbonated water (two 16oz bottles)
1 lemon
 

Instructions
1. Combine the sugar, ginger, and water in a small saucepan. 2.Place saucepan over medium-high heat, and bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. 3. Reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes. 4. Strain through a fine sieve into a pitcher, and cool. 5. Add syrup to carbonated water (2 tablespoons syrup to 1 cup carbonated water). 6. Garnish with lemon slices.
Serving Suggestions
In glass, with lemon slice garnish and ice if wanted.
