Place melted butter in 9 x 9 inch cake pan. In
saucepan heat peaches and reserved liquid to a
boil. Mix flour, salt, baking powder, 1 cup sugar
and milk together and pour over butter in cake pan.
Spoon hot peaches over batter and sprinkle
remaining 1/4 cup sugar over peaches.
