     Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 cans peach slices, drained (reserve 1/4 cup liquid)
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar plus 1/4 cup sugar
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
 

Instructions
Place melted butter in 9 x 9 inch cake pan. In saucepan heat peaches and reserved liquid to a boil. Mix flour, salt, baking powder, 1 cup sugar and milk together and pour over butter in cake pan. Spoon hot peaches over batter and sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup sugar over peaches.
Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until cake tests done. Serve warm. Serves 6 to 8
