1.5 lbs apples peeled, cored, halved and cut into 1/2 inch wedges (3 cups, 3-4 apples)
2 Tbsp granulated sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup apple cider
1 tsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Combine dry topping ingredients, then add butter until moist and crumbly.
Toss apples, sugar and cinnamon. Reduce cider to 1/3 cup and add lemon juice. Cook apples in butter 10-14 minues on medium heat until transluscent, then stir in cider. Sprinkle topping over fruit and bake until tender and golden, about 15-20 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes.
