     Double Quick Rolls

Ingredients
3/4 cup warm water, not hot
1 package active dry yeast
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup shortening or butter
1 egg
 

Instructions
Dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar, salt, and about half of four. Beat 2 minutes until smooth. Let rise 30 minutes in warm place Stir down batter and drop into greased medium muffin pans. Let rise another 30 minutes until doubled in bulk. Heat oven 425 degrees. Bake 10 t0 12 minutes. While warm, brush with butter.
