Preheat oven to 350. Line 12 muffin cups with paper liners; spray with non-stick spray.
Cream butter until smooth; add the sugar and beat until blended. Add the eggs, one at a time, and beat in. Add the flour and the pecans and fold in gently untl blended---don't beat. Spoon the batter into the muffin tins a little more than halfway full. Bake at 350 for 20-25 min. or until they test done. Transfer to cooling rack. These are a bit sticky and delicate. If you decide to to mini muffins it will make 2 1/2 doz.
